Positive Development through Sport is a current phenomenon that has been explored in different countries in North America, Europe and also in Portugal and Brazil. Based on recent investigations, multiple initiatives have been undertaken with the aim of increasing the quality of youth development experiences and preparing sports professionals for these challenges. Also considering mental illness as an epidemic of the 21st century and the need for greater social justice, sport from the perspective of Positive Youth Development has been recognized as a fundamental tool in these domains. This event has established itself as a space for debate, bringing together researchers, teachers, coaches and other decision makers from different countries, in order to deepen knowledge and inform good practices around youth sport. In the year 2023, the 4th edition of the seminar will be held in Brazil, in the city of Florianópolis, involving the following themes:

• Pedagogical models that enable the inclusion of children, young people and adults through sport;

• The promotion of mental health and intervention strategies through sport;

• The importance of sports policies in the development of life skills through sport;

• The role of parents, sport administrators and other sports agents in the development of young people, including the development of life skills through sport;

• The training of coaches in the development of young people, including the development of life skills through sport;

• The promotion of social justice and intervention strategies through sport;

• The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sports system.
